A sellout crowd of Austin Bold soccer fans, who witnessed the joint home and stadium opener for their United Soccer League Championship (USL) expansion franchise, were rewarded when the Bold defeated rival San Antonio FC (SAFC) 1-0 at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in South Austin Saturday night. Austin Bold FC will make a big splash Saturday night when they play their inaugural home soccer match against I-35 rivals San Antonio FC (SAFC). The evening will also mark the opening of the Bold’s new 5,000 seat stadium at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) raceway and entertainment venue south of Austin.
