Nico’s Dream-Kick Cancer Soccer Camp

The 4th annual soccer camp honoring the memory of Nico Ramirez Castro who died of cancer in 2012 will be held at the STAR Soccer Complex in San Antonio on June 3. San Antonio FC is a major sponsor of the event, which is open to kids ages 3-18 for a $50 fee. Kids who can’t afford the fee will be sponsored by donors.

Nico’s Dream is a registered non-profit organization in San Antonio, Texas. The organization was formally recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) in 2016; however, its work began in 2013 to honor Nicolás “Nico” Ramírez Castro’s courageous battle against cancer.

Below is a link to an article by Roy Bragg in the San Antonio Express News talking about Nico’s life and his love of soccer.  A second link will take you to the Nico’s Dream website for registration and additional information.
