Since the MLS season begins on Saturday March 3rd, this will be the final preseason roster update. I will provide individual links to the final regular season rosters for all teams immediately prior to the start of their respective regular seasons.
Listed below are the current rosters for all teams with updates announced this week highlighted. Links to the transaction announcements are included if you are interested in learning more about the players.
Preseason activities
- FC Dallas, who began CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) play with a 1-0 loss to Tauro FC in Panama on Wednesday night, train in Frisco in preparation for the return CCL Round of 16 match against Tauro at Toyota Stadium this Wednesday. Their MLS regular season opens three days later with a home match against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, March 3rd.
- Houston Dynamo play for the “Championship” of the Mobile Mini Sun Cup in Tucson against New England Revolution on Saturday. The Dynamo open the MLS regular season at home against Atlanta United on Saturday, March 3rd.
- Columbus Crew play their final match of the Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston, SC on Saturday against Minnesota United. The Crew open MLS play on the road against defending champion Toronto FC on Saturday, March 3.
- On Saturday Rio Grande Valley FC plays an exhibition game against Honduran side Motagua FC, who remain in the Valley for a few days after a 1-0 loss to Club Tijuana in the first-leg of the CCL Round of 16 series played in Edinburg on Thursday. The Toros regular season begins at home against St. Louis FC on March 16.
- San Antonio FC will play split-squad preseason matches against St. Edwards University and UT Rio Grande Valley FC on Saturday. The regular season begins on the road against Sacramento United on March 17.
- The Houston Dash began preseason training this week. They open the regular season at home on March 26 against Chicago Red Stars.
